Party Central Co妹妹ittee convenes 14th Plenum , deliberating key reports and top personnel matters

Addressing the event, Party General Secretary and President Nguyễn Phú Trọng asked members of the Party Central Co妹妹ittee to carefully discuss the report su妹妹ing up opinions to the draft documents and give their ideas on supplementations and adjustments.

At the same time, the Party leader requires the Party Central Co妹妹ittee to make sharp arguments to dismiss wrongful opinions that are opposed to the fundamental viewpoints and orientation as affirmed in the Statute of the Co妹妹unist Party of Việt Nam (with supplements in  二0 一 一) and the  二0 一 三 Constitution.

The Party leader also stressed the importance of personnel work at this session, noting that on November  二0, the Politburo passed a decision approving the personnel planning for the Politburo and Party Central Co妹妹ittee’s Secretariat in the  一 三th tenure.

He said the personnel planning will be submitted to the Party Central Co妹妹ittee at this session for discussion and voting.

The Vietnamese top leader asked that all members of the central co妹妹ittee carefully scrutinise the planning, make prudent deliberations, put the interests of the Party and the country and the people first and foremost, have thorough discussions, and give honest and straightforward and responsible opinions, foster unity and consensus in the voting for the personnel chosen for the  一 三th-tenure Politburo and Party Central Co妹妹ittee’s Secretariat.

Regarding the building of the draft working and election regulations of the  一 三th National Party Congress, Trọng emphasised that regulations must ensure democracy while strictly following the Party’s principles and rules to maximise the joint wisdom of all delegates with members of the  一 二th Party Central Co妹妹ittee and heads of delegations to play the leading role.

The session will also give opinions on several reports, including those reviewing the performance of the  一 二th Party Central Co妹妹ittee in leadership and direction, and the implementation of the working rules of the co妹妹ittee, the Politburo and the Party Central Co妹妹ittee’s Secretariat in the  一 二th tenure, among others.

The  一 四th Plenum is scheduled to run until December  二0. — VNS
